Welcome Parents/Guardians and Students! I've created this page to keep you updated on what is occuring in our classroom. I'm looking forward to working with and learning from all of you over the next several months and thank you for this opportunity. Beginning on February 6th, students will be asked to read for fifteen minutes each night. Your child can choose his or her own reading material. I encourage you to have your child read aloud to you whenever possible. When he or she is finished, ask your child to talk about what they just read. This short amount of time each night will help to improve your child's reading comprehension, fluency and vocabulary. Students will be given a reading log to be signed each night after they have completed their reading. At the end of the month, students who have read for a minimum of 20 days will be able to visit the classroom treasure box. Thank you for being an active partner in your child's education!
